A practising lawyer since 1991 and head of the Litigation and Arbitration department at PEREZ-LLORCA since 1998, David specialises in international and local commercial litigation and arbitration. He is also a professor of procedural law and arbitration.

PRACTICE AREAS
David is well known in the field of arbitration, in both institutional and ad hoc procedures, at international and local levels. On an international level, he has acted as arbitrator and counsel in important arbitrations administered by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and in domestic arbitration before entities such as the Arbitration Court of Madrid (CAM), the Commercial and Civil Arbitration Court (CIMA) and the Barcelona Arbitration Tribunal (TAB). He has also participated as arbitrator and/or lawyer in ad hoc arbitrations, under UNCITRAL and other regulations.
David also has extensive experience in commercial litigation.
His main clients are large national or international companies belonging to many different sectors such as engineering, industry, telecommunications, construction, energy, insurance and banking.
ACADEMIC AND PUBLISHING COLLABORATIONS
Since 1995 David has been a university professor and currently lectures on procedural and arbitration law at Francisco de Vitoria University. He also lectures on the ‘International Arbitration’ module on the Masters in Business Law at the Fundación Carolina. In addition, he regularly participates at seminars and conferences as an expert in Litigation and Arbitration and, for a number of years, he has been Director of the Centre of Studies and Research of the Madrid Bar.
David is the author of various publications on Arbitration and Procedural law, which have been published in specialised editorials and press.
David co-ordinated “Comments on Arbitration Law (2003)” (“Comentarios a la Ley de Arbitraje de 2003”) Editorial Aranzadi.
