Daniela Ribeiro is a pioneer in oil regulatory law in Brazil. Daniela played a remarkable role in the structuring of first-of-a-kind operational leasing transactions under the form of project finance in Brazil, having also provided legal assistance to Brazilian and foreign oil companies in connection with their participation in ANP’s (the Brazilian regulatory agency for the oil sector) auctions and the subsequent establishment of consortia for the exploration and production of petroleum and natural gas in Brazil.
Daniela Ribeiro graduated in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. She also attended Law School at the San Pablo Centro Educational Universitario - CEU of the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain and has an MBA degree in economy and corporations law from the Post-Graduation School of Economy of Fundação Getúlio Vargas - FGV, as well as an executive post-graduate degree in oil from COPPE, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ. Daniela Ribeiro was partner at Ribeiro & Barreto, where she coordinated the oil, gas & biofuels department from 1996 through 2009. Member of the Brazilian Oil Institute - IBP and of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators – AIPN. Fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
